‘Move forward not move on from grief’

“They have gone to a better place”.

“At least you are not alone, you have other family members and friends, keep yourself busy and you will get over it”

“It is the way it was meant to be ”

“…….(avoidance, lack of acknowledgment of your loss)…”

These are some of the phrases (and/or silence/avoidance) we hear when someone who is close to us passes us. Sometimes these phrases stab your heart and worsen the wound that already is weeping.

How about if someone says…

“They must have meant a lot to you…

Surface your fears on your way to freedom

“People have a hard time letting go of their suffering. Out of a fear of the unknown, they prefer suffering that is familiar.” — Thich Nhat Hanh

It is easy to live our life without having to face our what scares us because we are so used to our familiar comforts. However when there is so much uncertainty around us, specially now with the current pandemic, at times we do not have a choice but to start covering what we are going through. …

Appreciate, generosity and abundance

Less self service is all about realising that it is not possible to given in completely self less manner because we are operating in this physical world and we do need to have a healthy ego to function. We as humans do have the capacity to give, yet often we choose not to. We choose we engage in a hoarding behaviour rather than giving away in charity to the needy. This is an invitation for you to develop a change in perspective of how giving others is actually a source of giving yourself. Hence it is…

Reframing a ‘negative pregnancy test’ to ‘an invitation to flow’

These four words, ‘ a negative pregnancy test’, is what stand out when we are trying for a baby and

  • we miss a period,
  • our period is delayed and/or
  • at the end of our two week wait period after our assisted conception

I’m going to invite you to first sit with the results, acknowledge it with the emotions that come up and then replace these four words ‘ a negative pregnancy test’ with ‘an invitation to flow’.

Sit with the results

“The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to…

If tears could build a stairway

And memories were a lane

I would walk right up to heaven

And bring you back again

No farewell words were spoken

These words resonate closely with those of us who have experienced the loss of a baby. There are actually no words to express our goodbyes yet if we did get an opportunity to say the last words before the physical departure of our loved one what would those be? It is an interesting reflection and we all have our own ways to deal with this. Seeing an empty crib, clothes of…

“Perfect balance is like a razor’s edge, it can be found only in Self.”

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

“The moon is a loyal companion. It never leaves. It’s always there, watching, steadfast, knowing us in our light and dark moments, changing forever just as we do. Every day it’s a different version of itself. Sometimes weak and wan, sometimes strong and full of light. The moon understands what it means to be human. Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfections.”

Tahereh Mafi,

One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feelings. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child.

Carl Jung

We as humans have that unique ability which is the power of discernment to choice between right and wrong. This propels us to move forward, to strive to be successful and the best version of ourself. We often tend to be on auto pilot mode and engage in herd behaviour which sometimes defeats the…
